Natural Ways To Treat Adult Acne

People say adult acne is inevitable because what cause it are the toxins the body wants to get rid of. They may be right but they could also be wrong because dermatologists say acne is preventable, although prevention would take a long process or even a lifetime.

Fortunately, there are a lot of known and effective treatments for acne. In today’s medical technology, adult acne is simply considered as a blemish to one’s skin that could easily be treated or erased without a trace.

Here are some of the known natural ways to treat this skin problem:

Do not rub, pick or press your acne - it is almost a common sense to never mess with your acne because doing so may just aggravate it and will result to an infection. Experts say these actions will lead to the increase in sebum production that often results to the rupture of the membranes underneath your skin.

Take natural and healthier food – not all delicious food are healthy, most of the times they are junk. What dieticians suggest to people who have acne is to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and avoid spicy and oily food.

Wash your face at least twice a day – more often acne comes out because you don’t pay much attention to your face. Well, I’m not saying you have to put all your attention to caring your face, what I’m suggesting is that you should take a little of your time everyday to wash your face at least twice a day to eliminate dust, dirt and germs you’ve acquired.

Take more water – adult acne could also be caused by suspended sweat in the hair follicles. While perspiration is a normal process of the body, it is advisable you drink more water because the more you perspire, the cleaner your sweat becomes. So, even if they get suspended in your follicles, there is a very little percentage they will cause irritation or infection.

Exercise daily – for the same reason as the previous advice, you should perspire more daily to push the soluble toxins out of your body. Exercising, however, cannot just treat or prevent acne, it would also make you healthier and active.

Avoid make-up and oily hair gels – if possible, try not to use make-up because as much as it prevents dust from accumulating on your face, it will also block oxygen which your follicles need. Also, avoid using styling gel, pomade and other oily cleansers. In the long run, you will be the one to benefit from it.

Breathe fresh air and get sunshine – your body needs fresh air and aside from being relaxing, it will give you peace of mind putting you away from stress which is also believed to cause adult acne. Aside from fresh air, your skin needs sunshine. Studies show early morning sun shine is a good source of Vitamin D; it is good for your skin and respiratory system.

There is one thing most people often overlook–proper hygiene. If you treat yourself right you will never suffer the embarrassing experience brought by adult acne. Cleaning your body every day and giving it healthier food would basically eliminate the problem of acne.
