You may ask your doctor if there is an easy treatment for acne and he’ll just answer ‘acne is easy to treat’ because it really is. In fact, it is easier to prevent it through your lifestyle and food intake. However, if you are currently suffering from newly developed acne, don’t worry because there are hundreds of ways to try and treat it. But you don’t have to go through all of it, do you? There is indeed an easier way to treat your acne.
Here’s what you should do when acne starts to show off on your face:
Get a bottle of benzoyl peroxide – it is one of the most effective acne treatments in the world and doctors already confirmed it. Benzoyl peroxide will be used to wash your face, at least, once a day. Basically, washing your face with mild soap or benzoyl peroxide will eliminate the dirt, dust, or anything that may cause acne. Therefore, you need to have a daily acne regimen to prevent it from spreading.
Practice spot treatment – get yourself a small bottle of salicylic acid. Some doctors may advice you not to use this if you are already using benzoyl peroxide, but don’t worry you will not use them together. In the morning, wash your face with benzoyl peroxide. By the time you are ready to go to bed, wash your face with mild soap and pat to dry, then do spot treatment applying little amount of salicylic acid on acne itself. Let it stay there for the whole night. The reason behind this is that acid may react to sunlight, thus applying it on daytime may be too risky for your face. The acne may be healed but it will leave a black scar.
Eat healthy food – fruits and vegetables are your best option here. Avoid oily and spicy food as they often mess up with your hormones or sebum secretion. Oil is also naturally pushed out of the body through sweat but they are often suspended in the pores that may cause slight infection leading to acne symptoms.
Be patient – don’t rush your acne treatment. Let time heal it so that it will not leave undesirable marks or scars. The more you rush the treatment, the more you are putting your skin in danger. More often, we want acne to disappear overnight but that’s not going to happen. It will take a minimum of 5 days to heal but could take up to two weeks to disappear without leaving a mark.
Treatment of acne is easy but the waiting may be killing you. Thus, as much as you can prevent its development, then do. It will take so much time, effort and patience to treat that blemish on your face.
